Edgecombe County Pro-Life Candidate Comparison

This Pro-Life Candidate Comparison lists every candidate on your ballot with the same kinds of information. Any endorsements shown were made by the organizations named, not by this guide.

Colors: blue marks pro-life organizations, votes in the pro-life direction, and statements supporting limits on abortion or protection of the unborn; dark red marks pro-choice organizations, votes in the pro-choice direction, and statements supporting abortion access or the right to choose. A vote is colored by the direction of the bill, not by any judgment of the candidate. Statements that do not state a position on abortion are not colored.

How to read this guide

  • Every candidate on the ballot for each contest below is listed. Parties always appear in the same positions: Republican upper left, Democratic upper right, Libertarian lower left, Green lower right. If a race has no Republican or no Democrat, the next candidate moves into that position.
  • Every candidate is described with the same kinds of information: which organizations have endorsed them, how they voted on a set list of abortion-related bills (or vetoed them, for a governor), and what they have said publicly, taken from public records and their own statements.
  • Endorsements and recommendations are listed for every candidate from the same set of organizations, shown at the end of this guide. Other organizations may also have endorsed a candidate.
  • Where nothing was found, the guide says so. That is not a judgment about the candidate.
  • The bill list is the same for every candidate. Which bills are listed was chosen by the guide's publisher, so other bills may also matter to you.

This guide covers U.S. Senate, U.S. House, N.C. Supreme Court, N.C. Court of Appeals, N.C. Senate and N.C. House contests. It does not cover Superior Court, District Court, district attorney, or county and local contests. Some counties are split between districts, so you may not vote in every contest shown. Check the contests on your own ballot using the State Board of Elections voter lookup.
